Bhanu Bharti has conceived of and directed innummerable events both at the national and state levels. He brings to his productions a natural gaiety and liveliness that is rarely seen in such large ventures. The artists, generally folk groups, are able to perform in coordination with other artists, but without submerging their distinctive styles or the spontaniety and rhythm of their own music and dances.

Bhanu Bharti has directed several national cultural programmes such as the mega event in Delhi’s Vijay Chowk on the 50th Anniversary of India’s Independence, the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations for the Indian diaspora in 2006, the Bharat Utsav in Delhi for the celebration of India’s 60th Anniversary of Independence, etc.

One of his most spectacular shows was the Loktarang, the National Folk Dance Festival, held in January 2009 in three cities, New Delhi, Jaipur and Mohali, as part of India's Republic Day Celebrations.
